तस्य सप्तधा प्रान्तभूमिः प्रज्ञा
tasya saptadhā prānta-bhūmiḥ prajñā

Unfolding the thread
Discernment matures in stages; the tradition counts seven. It moves from knowing what must be left behind, to having left it, to the mind itself coming to rest. Like dawn, the light grows by degrees.
