The quiet hour (Brahma Muhurta) is the traditional time for practice, just before sunrise.

yogāṅgānuṣṭhānād aśuddhi-kṣaye jñāna-dīptir ā viveka-khyāteḥ
By practising the limbs of yoga, impurities fall away and the light of knowledge shines, until discernment is complete.
Yoga Sutras 2.28 · verse 79 of 196
Unfolding the thread
Now Patanjali gives the famous eight limbs. The promise is simple: practise them, and what clouds you gradually wears away, while the light of understanding grows brighter, all the way to clear discernment. Not a single leap, but a steady brightening.
Try today
Choose one limb to lean into today: kindness, breath, stillness or attention. Practise just that one.
The Echo
The same truth, heard in another tradition
“The path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more.”
