The quiet hour (Brahma Muhurta) is the traditional time for practice, just before sunrise.

kāyākāśayoḥ sambandha-saṁyamāl laghu-tūla-samāpatteś cākāśa-gamanam
Through saṁyama on the relation between the body and space, and absorption in the lightness of cotton, comes movement through space.
Yoga Sutras 3.43 · verse 149 of 196
Unfolding the thread
Meditate on the body's relationship with space, and on lightness itself, like a tuft of cotton on the air, and the text says one can move through space. Whatever you make of it, a mind absorbed in lightness makes the body feel light.
Try today
Imagine your body as light as cotton for a minute. Notice any change in how you sit or move afterwards.
The Echo
The same truth, heard in another tradition
“In the northern ocean there is a fish, called the Leviathan, many thousand li in size. This leviathan changes into a bird, called the Rukh, whose back is many thousand li in breadth. With a mighty effort it rises.”
